A Typical Day on the Water

Go Fish! Guide Service can pick you up right on the resort or cabin dock, or a meeting place can be arranged if venturing to another body of water. Trips are available in half-day (4 hours), 3/4 day (6 hours—call or email for pricing) or full-day (8 hours) formats.

Some guests want to learn more about the lake they’re staying on, others prefer to visit the most recent “hot lake”. Walleye, largemouth & smallmouth bass, northern pike, muskies or panfish; whichever you prefer, Go Fish! Guide Service is ready to get your group on the water!

For Novice Anglers

Go Fish! Guide Service provides everything you need to catch fish; rods, reels, bait, tackle, safety (PFDs), and a top of the line Crestliner boat with your captain for the day; Jason Durham and his 34 years of angling expertise. Whether you’ve been fishing your entire life or you’re going on your first trip ever, Go Fish! Guide Service will give you an experience you’ll be sure to remember for a lifetime!

While on the trip, expect to use some of the most high-tech, innovative equipment on the market. You will receive step-by-step instructions and hear LOTS of stories from the guide.

All you need to bring is a current Minnesota fishing license, food and drink for yourselves and appropriate clothing for the weather. Don’t forget your sunglasses and sun screen. Everything else is provided.

For the Expert

If you’ve spent countless hours angling and have a strong knowledge of angling technique, we’ll have a fun day on the water too! Whether you’re searching for a trophy, a species you’ve never landed before or a fish dinner, you’re sure to have a great time.

Go Fish! Guide Service supplies all the gear you’ll need, but if you have a favorite rod or “secret lure”, by all means, bring them along. Also, many guides do not allow guests to bring a portable GPS along for marking key fishing areas. Go Fish! Guide Service doesn’t mind and can even offer you a tutorial on how to work your GPS.

Important Details

  • There is no deposit required.
  • Payment may be in cash, check, or Venmo following the trip. (No Cards)
  • Larger group trips are available. Please inquire about pricing in the form below.
  • You may also bring a follow-boat that someone in your group operates. Bait, gear and instructions will be provided for occupants in a follow-boat.
  • If there is foul weather, the trip will be rescheduled or cancelled with no charge to you. Your guide will fish in the rain, wind, snow, but not when there’s lightning. If you don’t want to fish in the rain, howling winds or snow, the trip can be rescheduled depending upon availability.
